Birthday Toasts - Find Out More

Birthday toasts should include both nostalgia for past memories and expressions of hope for the future.

It may be that you want to make a toast to your husband or spouse, or to friends or your parents. Whichever is the case, the same principles apply.

Also, remember some of the key principles in making toasts. The toast is normally the part at the end of a speech when everyone drinks to show their support for the words someone has expressed. For example, Good health or Happy Birthday.

Here are a few suitable for birthday toasts.

"Congratulations on the first fifty years. We look forward to the next fifty."

"You don't look a day over 60 - what? you're only 40 - likely story!"

"If you look in the mirror and can count more wrinkles than your actual age - then you're old!"

"Birthdays make the young younger and the old older."
