Free Retirement Poems

Here are some free retirement poems which you might use, or which might inspire you to write your own words.

You could send someone a written poem, or of course you could make it part of a speech.

Ideally, the poem we've included below would be inserted after you've given your speech and before the retirement toast.

In fact the poem is structured so that several of the words rhyme with toast.

For more advice on how to structure retirement speeches please follow the links at the bottom of this page.

This final time you leave your post
Your workmates here would like to boast
We've wished you the most
Happy life - down on the coast
While we continue here -
In our daily work engrossed.
And with that,
Let us together toast
You
Our friend and colleague
Steve

All the best Steve. Enjoy your well earned freedom!

In fact this gives you two or even more free retirement poems because you can play around with the words a bit to suit. For example, if the person retiring is not likely to be spending time at the coast, you could say something about enjoying the Sunday roast (still rhymes with toast).

For example,

This final time you leave your post
Your workmates here would like to boast
We've wished you the most
Happy life - relaxing with your Sunday roast
While we continue here -
In our daily work engrossed.
And with that,
Let us together toast
You
Our friend and colleague
Steve

All the best Steve. Enjoy your well earned freedom!
